Join the Neighborhood by signing up for a monthly gift at the food bank

Just like a neighborhood is the foundation of community, sustained monthly giving is the foundation of the work we do at the food bank. Sustained support allows us to plan ahead for lasting impact on food security in our community. When you become a Neighbor, our shoppers can count on finding what they need at the food bank day in and day out. It’s as easy as signing up for your monthly music or streaming subscription!

As an added “Welcome to the Neighborhood,” every monthly donor also receives a special thank you upon sign up: an exclusive recipe from Ferndale’s beloved Barb’s Pies for their award winning Oversized Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls. Barb closed her doors in 2025, but her famous cinnamon rolls can live on for all our consistent supporters. After all, what’s more neighborly than sharing your favorite recipe?

  • Good Samaritan: $10 = 15 meals for a household

  • Next Door Neighbor: $25 = A week of food for a household

  • Block Captain: $50 = A week of food for two households

  • Community Builder: $100 = A month of food for a household

  • Neighborhood Hero: $250 = A month of food for two households

Giving Levels

*Please note the donation platform we use, GiveButter, adds a default "tip" option. This does not go to us, but goes to the platform. GiveButter doesn’t charge fees to non-profits so we see more of your donations. This can be manually changed to $0 or 0% by selecting "other" in the tip section. Including this option allows us to use the platform for free, but there is no obligation for you to tip.

The food bank is a 501(c)3 and all donations are tax deductible.
